Gammy McGuire sends Lizzie one of her frequent ""birthday"" gifts--a role-playing game called Dwarflord: The Conquest. Mom insists that Lizzie play it at least once, so she recruits reluctant Miranda and Gordo for a game. The girls can't understand the incredibly complex rules but Gordo likes it. In fact, Gordo joins a ""Dwarf Tribe"" at school (led by Tudgeman, of course) and begins to spend all his time playing and thinking about the game. Gordo gets so obsessed that he even quits studying and, unbelievably, gets an ""F"" on a test! Lizzie and Miranda try to talk some sense back into Gordo but he refuses to see he is addicted to the game. Matt agrees to help the girls capture Gordo and help to deprogram him. They stealthily invade a Dwarflord game, abduct Gordo and hold an intervention in which they finally convince him to go back to his old lifestyle.

Monica feels bad about it, so she organizes a bachelor party including a stripper for Chandler, however, the only one excited about it seems to be Joey. Meanwhile, Rachel prepares to have dinner with her dad and tell him that she's pregnant and it doesn't go particularly well for either of the involved parties.

Finch and Elliot are fighting over Amy. Jack warns Amy that the fight is interfering with the office work environment, and so Finch and Elliot come to terms about Amy: they decide that since they both like her so much, they should share her, meaning she would spend half her time with one and then the other half with the other. Of course Amy is not ok with that and decides to quit the magazine altogether since she got a six figure book deal. Meanwhile, Jack and Nina try hard to show Kevin the good of being rich and end up corrupting him. Now Kevin, who was once happy and simple, is miserable and full of debts.

John says that he saved Drew from jumping off a bridge in a drunken stupor as he ranted about some terrible thing that he had done. Drew tries to re-trace his steps and figure out what happened. He headed to Nashville for a convention, and Oswald and Lewis tagged along to visit Dollywood. Mimi and Steve used the absent Wick's ticket to take the trip, and decided to have sex on the train. Drew became ill after drinking a beer and stumbled into the wrong cabin. He remembers that Mimi entered the cabin as the train went through the tunnel. Drew finds blue paint all over himself and fears that he had sex with Mimi. Oswald and Lewis tell him that Mimi discovered that it was Drew and left him alone. Carol is infuriated when Dennis cancels the annual budget meeting for all faculty. The entire faculty bands together to get rid of Dennis, including writing his end of the first semester review. Carol convinces the faculty to give Dennis a chance to prove himself. When he later takes Carol to task for her actions, she investigates further, discovering he was fired. Carol writes him a positive evaluation, which Dennis tears up and returns. Frustrated by his continued rebuffs, she kisses him. A young lawyer, Joe Baxter, fresh out of the corporate world and full of energy, requests to join Ed's ""firm"". He observes Ed for a while, and launches his own ""bowling alley practice"" complete with Kenny, Shirley, and Phil-esque characters in his employ, and going so far as to steal Ed's clients. He advertises himself as the world's first bowling alley lawyer. When push comes to shove, Joe cannot deliver in the court room, and Ed happily regains his status.
